Do you think this is the reason our house is so cold?

- - - - - - - - - The cat has found one of the two open vents in our house right now (we shut all the other vents in an effort to keep William's room above 54 degrees)

Keiran's room is like that too!!! Luckily he is a little older so he keeps his covers on. He has taken to wearing his slippers to bed and sleeping under two blankets and a comforter... poor boy!
John and Kelly - I was going to talk about this when we arrived for Christmas, but I bet I'll forget because of the accident, this isn't nearly as important, but I wanted to let you know... We have that trouble as well (some rooms being colder than others) and what really seems to help is closing some of the vents at the source (in the basement, there are valves you can close in the ventalation tubes right off of the main furnice vent). That way, there is more air pressure in William's room, rather than going all the way up the tube only to get blocked by the vent (and heating the tube and surrounding air). Hope that helps and I hope you all get better soon! Jim
