Happy Father's Day!

Patience, kindness, a sense of humor, flexibility, and most of all love make John a great dad. He is also fanatically organized and completely reliable - our kids will always be able to count on him. I am so proud of him and the relationship our kids have with him. Our kids are so lucky! We love you Daddy!

We were fortunate to be able to travel to Minnesota for a week long family-cation, so we got to celebrate Father's Day with two of the best Grandpa's also!

On Father's Day, I tried to let John sleep in. However, Amelia had other plans and John ended up getting up with William. I was able to send him back to bed for a short while...but not what I had planned! Sorry Daddy! We were able to keep the ruckus contained enough to not wake Grandpa too early...
Giving Daddy his card. William and Mama made some special home made cards together. William is starting to be interested in actually coloring and making pictures with crayons instead of dumping them out and driving cars over them.

Daddy and his kiddos. Please note that my parents are doing some major renovation and the wall behind John does not always appear this way. Not to worry, both Amelia and William managed to get their days old new carpet dirty within the first 24 hours of our visit. Amelia with her prolific spit and William with chocolate from birthday cake. We are great visitors!
We took Grandpa Heidt to the park and then out to lunch to celebrate

It also happened to be Great Grandpa Budd's birthday, Aunt Kaye's birthday, and [close] to Daddy's birthday. So, we had a special dinner and presents! William loves presents! And birthday cake!
William is wearing the Big Brother shirt, Amelia is sporting her little sister shirt!
Little sister onesie - a big thanks to John's cousin for this one!

William was trying so hard to squeeze that RainX into his face, he was pumping at the trigger. Luckily it was closed, phew
