Well, we made it home again. William was amazing in the car again. I know he is not thrilled to be in his carseat, but he did a great job. He only slept 2 1/2 hours of the 7 hour trip and didn't cry at ALL! What a good boy! The rest of the time he looked at books, ate, and played with me. We rolled in about 9:30pm, unloaded the car and gave William a bath so he could play for a little while before going to bed.
Another big first tonight: he is sleeping in the crib! WAH! Where is my tiny baby? He has been consistently sleeping from 10ish to 8ish every night for the last 3 weeks or so...so we decided not to even unpack the travel crib and put him into his "big boy bed" (his crib). We'll see how he does come morning, but so far so good for now.
We had a wonderful Easter (a wonderful week home with everyone!)! We got up looked at William's Easter basket and went to church with the McGarry's. After church, Grandpa grilled hamburgers and we had a great lunch with Kaye, Scott, Grandma and Grandpa McGarry. We took some pictures - I'll post them tomorrow when I get to that bag of stuff to unload. I have a lot of work do to tomorrow. Tomorrow is also the dreaded 2 month doctor appointment. William is going to get 4 shots I think :( Wish us luck, I am looking forward to seeing how much he will weigh in at!
goodnight,

Busy Boy & 10 Weeks Old! (LONG POST)
We have been so busy, I haven't put new pictures up on our website for a few days! A lot has gone on! The best place is to start at the beginning... So, on Thursday, Andrea Sanford brought her two boys over to play! They are almost 5 and 2 now (correct me if I am wrong). We had a nice visit and William loved watching the "big boys" play. We had so much fun that William needed a nap by the end of the morning!

Thursday evening we went to have dinner at the Gaedke's. We had lasagna, salad, rolls and some kind of blueberry dessert! The dinner was wonderful and it was great to see the Baumgards/Gaedke's again. William was amazing during dinner. Usually, he fusses and one of us ends up holding him through dinner time. However, I put William down on his blanket with a few things to look at and he was wonderful. He hung out by himself ALL through dinner and dessert too! I was amazed...until I discovered William was probably watching TV and then I was even more amazed! After dinner, I thought he might be watching TV and confirmed it when I gave him a bottle and he kept trying to turn his head and look at the TV. Either that or he was amazed at the size of the Gaedke's huge TV!
William and his godmother Jessica (see... he isn't crying!)
When we got home from dinner, John was back! William was so happy to see his daddy again (daddy was happy too!)
On Friday, we went to visit Grandpa Heidt for lunch at Valentino's. After lunch, my friend Robyn came over with her baby, Jacob. Jacob is such a cutie with a great smile! He is 7 months old now and he can do so many things! William had a great time watching Jacob roll around on the floor and then tried out Jacob's bumbo before crashing and taking a nap. We suspect William and Jacob are about the same size as they are wearing about the same size clothes and diapers...what happened to my tiny baby?

Jacob and William -who is longer? (answer: Jacob, by a little!)

Friday was also the day William turned 10 weeks old. We dressed him up in a North Dakota Fighting Sioux (grandma and grandpas' college) outfit for his official 10 week picture. I was relieved to see that it is HUGE on him as it is a size 4T! We went out to eat with Aunt Kaye and Grandparents McGarry. When we got back home, we colored Easter eggs with William to celebrate his first Easter! William helped a little, but we did most of the work! See? We've been busy!

Today we are helping to redo another bedroom at the McGarry's house - it is fun to work on someone else's house for a change! We plan on getting together with Grandpa Heidt, Mike and Tien for dinner tonight - it will be nice to see everyone a little bit more before we head home tomorrow!

Photos
Well, yesterday I decided that I didn't have the picture I was looking for from William's baptism. I felt kind of rushed about getting everyone ready and out the door to the church and didn't get time to work with the pictures much. So, I put him back in the outfit again (it is way tighter now - he cannot have grown that much!) and brought him back to Mommy's photo studio. I got a few that I like - still don't think I got the one. Oh well. William slept until 7:15 am, ate and then we both slept until 10:30am. After our looonnnggg sleep, we got dressed and went over to the Heidt's to visit. We had a yummy taco dinner with the McGarry's and then played cards until too late at night.
We have a big day ahead of us! The Sanford boys are coming over to "play" this morning and then we are going to the Gaedke's for dinner tonight. The BEST part of today: John is coming back tonight! YeAH! Here are more baptism outfit pictures and an "extra"

A Boy and a Girl!
William (and the rest of us) are so excited that we will be getting a new baby boy AND girl cousin! Congratulations Uncle Mike and Aunt Tien!
Yesterday was a busy day and I didn't get on the internet because we were painting our computer room and unhooked all the network cables. After sleeping until 9:15am, we spent time with both of the grandpas - Grandpa Kevin in the morning and Grandpa Heidt in the afternoon today. We went out for dinner at Baker's Square with great grandparents Wennersten, aunt Kaye, Scott and the grandparents McGarry.

God Bless You!!
Today William was baptized at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Our family all went to church and enjoyed the Palm Sunday Service and then stayed after for the baptism. William was great! He was awake and happy during the service as well during the baptism. He was very tolerant of the water being splashed on him and the thousands of pictures people took afterwards.
We all went to Valentino's for lunch afterwards and we enjoyed visiting with everyone very much! William was again well behaved and slept through most of the lunch so we all got to eat (we need to be careful - I could get used to this angelic behavior...). After lunch, we went back to the house to visit some more and then John left to drive back to St Louis. We were sad to see him go, but we'll be seeing him soon (Wed. we hope?).

A Big Day!
This morning we got to spend time at the McGarry's with both the grandparents and the greats. In the afternoon, we went to the Heidt's and William got to meet all of his aunts, uncles and cousins. He took a long nap with Aunt Tien and his soon to be cousins. She sure is talented to hold 3 babies at one time! We enjoyed a fun dinner with everyone, visiting and showing off our little guy. We have to try and get some more pictures tomorrow - we didn't get a picture of everyone!
After dinner, we went back to the McGarry's and William got to meet his great Grandparents Wennersten and Aunt Megan. Both William and the great grandparents were DELIGHTED to meet each other! Great grandpa Budd had some very special presents for William - a package of M & Ms and his farm set from when he was growing up. They are very special!

9 Week Old Sleepwonder!
Well, I think it is finally time to tell you that William is sleeping through the night more nights than he is up. This morning I had to wake him at 8:30 am to feed him and get our day started! He went down last night around 11:30am and slept all the way through! YEAH William! He has been sleeping well for longer and longer periods of time, but this is the longest yet!
Today, we got up late and went over to Grandpa Heidt's to visit and have some lunch. After lunch, we went to St Mary's Hospital to visit Grandma Kim and see all her coworkers - William LOVED all the women (and men) talking to him and was all smiles. After dragging Grandma Kim away from her desk, we went to the McGarry's to hang out and play. Grandma Kim reports that William is starting to use his hands purposefully to do things. He is hitting toys on his jungle gym and starting to reach for things he wants. We are excited about his new tricks, although I'm sure there is much hair pulling and TV remote grabbing in his future.
The Great Grandparents McGarry arrived this afternoon safely from North Dakota. Auntie Kaye and Grandpa Heidt will be joining us for dinner tonight! It will be nice to see everyone together tonight!
