3 Months Old!

Look at our sweet baby girl! Can you believe she is 3 months old (0-3 month slide show is in progress)? This picture above is one of my new favorites as it shows her dark blue eyes closest to their true color. Amelia's 3 month birthday required a photo shoot at Mama's studio: my bed. Just another reason to not make my bed - it is a great backdrop!

Her newest trick: sucking on her thumb! Will she be a true thumb sucker? Hard to say, right now she is enjoying chewing on that thumb!

Look at her hair in this light! She does the cutest thing (to be honest, most things she does are cute!) when she wants to suck her thumb. She hold her hand open and uses her other hand to hold back her fingers so she can suck/chew on JUST her thumb. So cute, so smart!

Evidence of a healthy diet: Exhibit A, the chins

So serious! She has started noticing the camera when I take pictures. It makes for some serious faces when she see the camera - she likes to look at it and figure it out!
She has also started reaching for things...even the second time around with baby #2, it is a thrill to watch Amelia develop and hit her milestones!
Distracted and smiling for the ceiling fan (if you look closely, you can see the reflection in her eye!)
Tiny fingers
Tiny toes

Thinking hard about....
Crying!

Sucking on her fingers...and look how long the hair is getting! And red!
Working on that thumb...
This is a look I think I will be getting a lot of when Amelia turns 13.

So sweet! My 3 months old baby girl!

For Mike

Uncle Mike was very entertained by Williams awesome running style. The last time we visited, Uncle Mike spent some time trying to copy William's coolness. I thought he might want a video to further practice!

Friends!

Our friend Lilly came over to play last week again. She was happier this time and so we took some pictures!

Mia and Lilly=happy babies
Of course, you can't take a picture without the big boy getting in on the action
Then Amelia required an outfit change due to a diaper leak. Shouldn't this size 6 month outfit look bigger on her?
Last Saturday we went to a graduation party at a friend's house. John and William matched. I wonder how long that will be cute?
William loved this swingset! Too bad there really isn't a way to get a set in our backyard. Look how strong he is!

12 Weeks Old!

Amelia was 12 weeks old on June 22nd! We almost forgot to take pictures because we were so busy at Grandma and Grandpa's house! But, here they are! These are special because Amelia is wearing a very special dress (to me). This is a dress that has been hanging in the closet for a few years. I bought it when my coworker was pregnant with a baby girl. I loved the dress so much that I bought something different for my friend and kept this "just in case". But, I kept the tags on it and left it on the hanger just in case we didn't get our baby girl. And here she is!

My New Hat!

My cute summer hat is finally fitting me! I got to wear it at the park while I watched my big brother play. It was fun to entertain myself by trying to eat the straps. If Mama would tie the straps, then we wouldn't have that problem. It also probably wouldn't turn and end up over my face also. She said something about not enough hands....be thankful my hat doesn't have trucks on it. Or something like that.

I also got to try out the swing for the first time (5/31). It is pretty big for me and I couldn't stay in it for long. I can't wait to be a little bigger!

Happy Father's Day!

Patience, kindness, a sense of humor, flexibility, and most of all love make John a great dad. He is also fanatically organized and completely reliable - our kids will always be able to count on him. I am so proud of him and the relationship our kids have with him. Our kids are so lucky! We love you Daddy!

We were fortunate to be able to travel to Minnesota for a week long family-cation, so we got to celebrate Father's Day with two of the best Grandpa's also!

On Father's Day, I tried to let John sleep in. However, Amelia had other plans and John ended up getting up with William. I was able to send him back to bed for a short while...but not what I had planned! Sorry Daddy! We were able to keep the ruckus contained enough to not wake Grandpa too early...
Giving Daddy his card. William and Mama made some special home made cards together. William is starting to be interested in actually coloring and making pictures with crayons instead of dumping them out and driving cars over them.

Daddy and his kiddos. Please note that my parents are doing some major renovation and the wall behind John does not always appear this way. Not to worry, both Amelia and William managed to get their days old new carpet dirty within the first 24 hours of our visit. We took Grandpa Heidt to the park and then out to lunch to celebrate

It also happened to be Great Grandpa Budd's birthday, Aunt Kaye's birthday, and [close] to Daddy's birthday. So, we had a special dinner and presents! William loves presents! And birthday cake!
